Have you ever wondered what it would be like to see yourself as you really are? What do you really look like to others?
Many years ago I had a "twin" (or doppleganger) who often gave me problems by ignoring my friends when they called out. Next day, I would get questions about why I had been somewhere the day before... someplace I hadn't been. I thought they were seeing things.
Then one day, as I pulled out of a parking lot onto the street, a car just like mine pulled out the parking lot across the street and paused, facing me. The driver was a young woman about my age with dark hair and fair complexion. We stayed there for a long moment staring, then drove on our separate ways.
I wonder if I got her in as much trouble as she did me!
